Finished mixing the new album for 65
Days Of Static.
Recorded an album, all to tape no computers thank you, with Male
Bonding
and the lovely
Vivian Girls stopped by to add some vocals.
Frank Turner's Poetry
Of The Deed got 8/10 in NME
review and was #10 in the
top 25 albums of 2009 in Paste Magazine.
Producing tracks this week with Future
Future again keeping it 100% analog.
Got a lot of new gear in the
studio including an Otari
MTR-15 mixdown deck that is one of the best sounding analog decks I've ever
heard and this one is in excellent shape.
It has 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch heads and has auto alignment. I'm currently training
it to make coffee too.
Also, finally got the one piece of gear that
no studio can be without.
Happy New, peeps!

Had a nice couple of weeks visiting the homeland - saw Frank
Turner do an incredible sold-out show at Manchester Academy.. Fake
Problems opened and sounded fantastic.
Also spent an evening at my old hangout Camden
Underworld and saw some
old pals back in a new band
Tropics.

Working with Frank Turner
was one of the highlights of my career. I've been a huge fan of Frank's work
ever since his Million Dead
days so it was a real honour to finally work together.
Frank also has an incredible live band
backing him up. The album was recorded and mixed entirely to RMGI
SM900 tape. Poetry
Of The Deed came out last week on Xtra
Mile / Epitaph!
Spent a week in Tokyo in July (and it was hotter than July) mixing tracks for
POLYSICS new album at Folio
Sound. POLYSICS new material is excellent of course and Hiro and I discovered
our mutual fascination with the works of
Cabaret Voltaire.
04.12.09
Produced albums for my home town faves Johnny
Foreigner and NYC's God
Fires Man. Produced tracks for Peggy
Sue, Black Horse,

Jeans (all to analog tape).
Mixed tracks for Jitterbug,

and Stereo Alligator.
Mixing Volcanoless
In Canada this week then heading to the UK for a few weeks to produce the
amazing Frank Turner. We'll
be recording
basic tracks at Leeders Farm studio
then bringing the tapes (yes, tapes) back to my place in Brooklyn to overdub
and mix.
